POST BELLUM SK
POST BELLUM SK was established in 2011 as a partner organization of the Czech civic association Post Bellum. In winter 2020 Post Bellum opened its third branch, located in Ukraine.
Post Bellum SK is a non-profit civic association, which promotes, defends and reinforces human and civic rights and freedoms via European Remembrance-inspired activities. Our office is based in Bratislava, but our activities are conducted on a nationwide level. We belong among the most influential remembrance organisations in Slovakia.
In collaboration with Post Bellum Czech Republic, we have gathered over 15,000 stories. Every year, we also jointly present the Memory of Nations Awards at the National Theatre in Prague to individuals who have proven in their lives that honor, freedom, and human dignity are not just empty words.
Since 2015, we have been conducting unique, full-day educational experiential workshops based on the method of drama education in Slovak schools. Last school year, we held 220 such workshops across Slovakia (which is nearly 100 more than the previous year).
In the ExHis program Post Bellum is responsible for the organization of peer trainings in Slovakia.
