ASOCIATIA MUZEON
ASOCIATIA MUZEON (Muzeon) is a museum and cultural organization based in Romania whose goals include Holocaust commemoration and the preservation of Jewish cultural and historical heritage, both tangible and intangible. The Muzeon Association works to promote tolerance towards the Jewish minority and revive and enhance the Jewish cultural legacy. Muzeon, the only multimedia storytelling museum in Romania, is a private museum that tells the narrative of your Jewish neighbor. It has vast expertise in putting on exhibitions utilizing this approach. Through personal narratives, narrated audio guides, artistic and visual installations, virtual reality, and artifacts, Muzeon explores the history of Jews in Cluj, fostering a special and profound bond between the protagonists and the audience. Organizing temporary exhibitions, conducting academic studies on Cluj’s Jewish history and anti-Semitism in the interwar years, planning cultural events, and other relevant activities are some of the other activities.
In the ExHis program, Muzeon is responsible for the organization of the exhibitions in Romania.
