EUROPEAN MARCH OF THE LIVING NETWORK

EUROPEAN MARCH OF THE LIVING NETWORK (EMOTL) is an international non-profit organization based in Brussels, Belgium. EMOTL is founded on the mission to enhance and enlarge the community of concerned European citizens and strengthen their response at national and EU level to racism, antisemitism, xenophobia, hate speech and other forms of intolerance and racial bigotry. The organization works on enlarging the participation of Young Europeans at international and national March of the Living events and other Holocaust commemoration activities. It directly capitalizes on 30 years of experience of the International March of the Living, an annual educational program, which brought already over 250,000 participants (from 52 countries in Europe and in the World) to the Nazi concentration and extermination camps in Poland to study the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hate. EMOTL is also working with teachers and educators from all over Europe to exchange best practices and assess the impact of Holocaust education and remembrance activities on young generations. In the ExHis program EMOTL will be responsible for organizing the closing international conference in Austria.
