CENTRE FOR EDUCATION AND INNOVATIONS

CENTRE FOR EDUCATION AND INNOVATIONS (CEDIN) is a Slovakian educational NGO, established to facilitate innovative teaching in school environments with a special focus on history and civics education. In the course of these activities the organization provides teacher training and produces high-quality and ready-to-use teaching materials. CEDIN cooperates and works with 50+ active teachers from across Slovakia, with the National Institute for Education and Youth, and with History departments at universities in Nitra and Košice where future teachers are being taught and trained. CEDIN’s team comprises of trained historians and educators and adult education and training professionals. CEDIN is a full member of EuroClio – European Association of History Educators, established in 1992 on request of the Council of Europe to build bridges between history education professionals from all parts of the then recently reunited Europe. CEDIN has been involved in several EuroClio projects: Learning to Disagree, Sharing European Histories, Who were the victims of National Socialist.

In the Exhis program CEDIN is responsible for the organization of the Slovakian exhibitions.
